A private world for two.
Amari is a couple’s app built from scratch: chat with read receipts, voice and video calls, a shared mixtape and letters that arrive on their own. Two people share one space, create yours, or join with the invite code your person sent you.
The lock screen. Two ways in: start a space of your own, cold, or hand over the invite code someone already inside sent you.
Start a new duel. Every game is played apart and scored together.
The mixtape, waiting on its first song. Only whoever added one can take it down.
Everything else lives here: the capsule timeline, daily notes, a verse a day.
01What is inside
Everything two people share.
Every couple gets a private space: nobody outside it can see a message, a call, a photo or a game.
Realtime chat
Text, photos and voice notes, with the full sent, delivered and read vocabulary, replies, reactions and message search.
Voice & video calls
LiveKit under the hood. Each couple gets one private room, and the right phone rings even with the app closed.
A native photo editor
Twelve filters, freehand drawing and text, drawn straight onto the photo rather than layered on top of it at send time.
Letters and scheduled sends
A note that only unlocks at midnight, or anything else queued to arrive later, written now and delivered on its own.
An async arcade
Know-Me and trivia duels played apart: your person answers first, you answer later, and nothing is revealed until you both have.
Widgets, a mixtape, six themes
A home-screen widget for the daily note and one for the daily verse, a shared mixtape you can paste songs into, and a palette to match.

Installing

Download the APK and open it.
- 02
Android will warn about apps from outside the Play Store, because this one is not on it. Choose Install anyway.

Create your own space, or enter the invite code the person who built yours sent you.

Push notifications need Google Play services on the phone, the same as any Android app that rings.
On iPhone
No iOS build yet. The web app at amari.chitemere.co.zw works on any phone in the meantime.
Built once, shared with one other person. Nobody outside your space can read what is in it.
